Nonprofit Program Development and Management
 
Session Objective: Nonprofits will gain an understanding of how to develop programs that will address the needs of the communities they serve and how to manage the program objectives.
 
  
Session Specifics: Nonprofits will attend a four-hour workshop that will address their individual needs to assess the current and proposed programs and the viability and effectiveness of each. This interactive session will address the provide comment on program curriculum and evaluation methods currently in place with the nonprofit organizations.
 
 
Session Impact: Nonprofit will gain a targeted focus on their mission and align their programs accordingly with community needs and funding. Nonprofits will also gain a greater insight into how to build capacity to achieve program success.
 
                           
 
 
 
Nonprofit Marketing and Sustainability
 
Session Objective: Nonprofits will learn how to implement a marketing strategy to expand the reach and top-of-mind awareness of their organization. Nonprofits will become consistent and sustainable through awareness and capability to generate program funding.
 
Session Specifics: Nonprofits will attend a four-hour workshop that will provide marketing strategies to reach the targeted and segmented populations that are served. A S-W-O-T analysis will be done in session for nonprofits to gain a front-seat view of how to become successful in ‘telling their story’. A sustainability plan will be developed through a focused assessment of potential growth and revenue generation. Pre and post assessment surveys will be performed.
 
Session Impact: Nonprofits will be able to develop a marketing plan to provide a greater program awareness providing long-term sustainability. Nonprofits will be able to develop a strategic plan encompassing marketing and what it takes not only to succeed but also to exist long-term. An evaluation report will be provided.

 I. Develop a Mission Statement
  1. Assure mission statement relates to purpose and demographics of those served
  2. Assure mission is realistic, targeted and achievable
C. Develop a management policy procedure manual
 
II. How to create a marketing strategy to provide:
A.     Volunteer recruitment, training and recognition
B.     Donor solicitation and management
C.     Create sponsor opportunities aligned with budget line items
 
III. How to develop a web presence
A.     Create web presence
B.     Market website with key words and networking
C.     Create a database for email marketing
 
IV. How to develop a social media presence through:
  1. Face book
  2. Twitter
  3. Blog
 
 
V. How to succeed in funding with fundraising programs
  1. How to plan a program or event
  2. How to assure it is profitable
  3. How to maintain consistent funding.
 
   Session Objective:
 Each attendee will be able to develop a step-by-step assessment of current status and develop ‘action plan’ to achieve success.
 
  1. Each attendee will know:
    1. Their mission statement and why it exists
    2. How to develop a volunteer program
    3. How to develop a web presence for exposure.
    4. How to grow exposure of organization through social media.
    5. How to develop strategy for sustainability and eventual self-funding through fundraising programs.
 
 
Creating a Fundraising Board
 
Session Objective: You will learn how to effectively communicate fundraising needs to your board and help them become active fundraisers for your organization in a four-hour session..
 
 
Session Specifics Addressed: Convincing your Board of the validity of your fundraising efforts, addressing fundraising fears, board responsibility to create a fund development plan, job descriptions and new members orientation, helping the board ‘ask’ for support, address the need for a board giving policy.
 
Session Impact: Organization will have a well-trained board to assist in fundraising, management and fund sustainability.
